Sarah and Trevor’s Strawberry Field Barn Wedding

From the Stunning Bride:

I am not a typical bride. I never wanted to have a traditional wedding. I always thought that I would go away to get married in the snow with a very small group of family and friends. However, we were unable to have a destination wedding, because some of our family members were not going to be able to travel. So, when I saw the barn at Liuzza Land I knew that was the perfect venue for us. It’s surrounded by strawberry fields and animals. It is rustic and romantic, a perfect Southern Louisiana wedding venue. Coming from a small town made it easy to find vendors that I have known personally for many years. The photographer was my new sister in law, the caterer was a high school classmate, the florist was a family friend, and the cake was made by my boss. It made the wedding so much more special to have people that I cared about helping with all the details of an amazing wedding. Trevor and I each had two attendants, because we wanted to keep our wedding party intimate. The hardest part of planning the wedding was deciding on the design of the wedding cake. I graduated Culinary school and have been making cakes at the Cocoa Bean Bakery for 5 years. Since I had always dreamed of a winter wedding in the snow combined with my love for the Christmas season, I decided on a winter wonderland scene with the bottom of the cake to replicate a snow clovered gingerbread village, and Anthony Delpidido delievered. The cake was topped with my grandparents vintage wedding topper, and it was perfect. The food was traditional southern comfort food. I wanted people to leave my wedding happy and with a full belly. There were tornado warnings that day and we had to move the wedding inside the barn because it rained all day. It is what it is. And it was the best day of my whole life. The perfect wedding that I never knew I actually wanted.
